Solo Oro

In Italian it translates to “only gold” my husbands and my saying is, “la vita dorata é quella di viaggiare con amore” meaning, “the golden life is to travel with love.” Wither its to the grocery store or across the world, everywhere you go, go with love.


Tell us about yourself!

I’ve been creating art since before I can remember, it has always been and will always be what I do.


What are your favorite materials right now?

Charcoal and waxed crayons.

When did you decide to become a designer/artist?

I think I was 2..


Were you encouraged to follow your dreams and create for a living?

Every step of the way, my family and friends have known at times more than I what I am capable of creating and have never stoped encouraging me to create more.


Is there a single purpose that keeps you focused?

Finding so much beauty in a single line or shade of color keeps me at the drawing desk.

What about your medium makes you keep going back?What makes you stick with it?

I change mediums every month but ill always forever go back to oil pastels because I’m in love with its texture


Is there something that the world should know about you and/or the work that you do?

I firmly believe everyone is an artist, everyone has their own unique way to hold a pencil, and at any moment in your life you can pick one up and find that out. I do monthly drawing classes, and welcome everyone to find their inner artista


What’s your biggest challenge as a maker?

Keeping my studio clutter free.

What’s on your current music rotation while creating?

I have playlist for when I’m painting and one for when I’m drawing… Róisin Murphy, Smoke City, Nicola Cruz,  Leisure, Dominique Dumont, Rhye, Charlotte Adigéry…
